How a Digital Turbidity Monitor Works

The working principle of the digital turbidity monitor allows you to understand at one time the digital turbidity monitor can be used for turbidity measurement of raw or purified water in different places, such as drinking water, various production and industrial water, and any needs A place with qualified water. The digital turbidity monitor has a compact structure, built-in backlight LCD screen, data storage, and relay control output (3 channels).

This product is designed according to the principle of Rayleigh scattering. It utilizes multi-detector and sample rotation technology to measure the light scattering procedure generated by insoluble particles suspended in water or transparent liquid, and can quantitatively indicate the content of suspended particles.

How does a digital turbidity monitor work? If you want to know, take a look at the content below.

Measurement using transmittance is susceptible to color absorption or particle absorption. In addition, transmittance has no correlation with scattered light measurements. However, in some cases, the results of colorimeters and spectrophotometers can be used in water treatment systems or process control to determine large changes in turbidity.

The turbidimeter is used to display the blocking degree of light transmission by suspended matter in water. Suspended matter and colloids such as soil, dust, trace organic matter, zooplankton and other microorganisms can make the water cloudy. The turbidimeter uses the principle of 900 scattered light. When the parallel light from the light source passes through the solution, a part is absorbed and scattered, and the other part passes through the solution.

The scattered light intensity of the incident light in the 900 direction conforms to the Rayleigh formula: isu003d((knv2)/λ)×I0, where I0 is the intensity of the incident light, is the scattered light intensity, and n is the number of particles in the unit solution, V is the particle volume, λ is the wavelength of the incident light, and K is the coefficient. Under the condition of the constant incident light, the scattered light intensity is proportional to the solution turbidity within a certain turbidity range. The above formula can be expressed as is/I0u003dk′n (k′ is a constant). According to this formula, the turbidity of a water sample can be measured by measuring the scattered light intensity of particles in the water sample.
Well, the above is the introduction of the relevant content about the digital turbidity monitor.
