The residual chlorine detector adopts the dpd method, which uses the photoelectric colorimetric detection principle to replace the traditional visual colorimetric method. Human error is eliminated, so the measurement resolution is greatly improved. When measuring, when the tested water sample is put into the dpd tablet, the water sample will turn red. Then put the water sample into the photoelectric colorimetric seat, and the instrument will obtain the concentration of residual chlorine by comparing the shade of red. It can be applied to detect residual chlorine/total chlorine concentration of domestic or industrial water in large, medium and small water plants, industrial and mining enterprises, swimming pools, etc., so as to control the residual chlorine/total chlorine of water to meet the specified water quality standards. How to use the residual chlorine detector: 1. Turn on the machine and preheat the machine for 2 minutes. 2. Pour the liquid to be tested into cuvette 1, and fill it to two-thirds of its volume. The process of putting in requires water stains not to reach the outside of the cuvette. Put this cuvette 1 into the measuring pool; press the calibration key to make the instrument display 0.00mg/L. 3. Take 100ML of the solution to be tested, add 15ML of the buffer reagent, add 5ML of the DPD reagent, and press the confirmation key; at this time, the screen display of the instrument decreases from 60 to 0; at this time, pour the solution to be tested with the reagent into the Cuvette 2; Put the cuvette 2 into the measuring pool, and the displayed degree is the residual chlorine content. 4. Press the storage key and the extraction key to store and extract 20 experimental records respectively. Precautions for operation of residual chlorine detector: 1. Chloride ions are not included in the measurement of residual chlorine. Chlorine measurement includes the measurement of free chlorine and combined chlorine content. 2. For the determination of free chlorine, the pH must be 6.2---6.5, and the DPD reagent should be added for direct reaction to generate a red compound. If the pH value is out of range, please adjust it with buffer reagent or dilute acid or dilute alkali. 3. The principle of the method for measuring total chlorine: when the pH is 6.2--6.5, add excess potassium iodide, add DPD to react directly, and generate a red compound. If the pH value is out of range, please adjust it with buffer reagent or dilute acid or dilute alkali. 4. The turbid sample must be filtered before measurement. 5. The color sample cannot be measured. 6. The cuvette should be cleaned and stored dry after each use.
