4. The Meter

The meter is the device that displays the dissolved oxygen measurement. Some meters use a digital display, while others use a needle and scale. The meter can also store past measurements, display temperature, and adjust the calibration of the sensor.

5. The Calibration Solution and Standard

Calibration is essential to ensure the dissolved oxygen meter provides accurate results. A calibration solution is typically provided with the meter and is used to set the sensor's response time and sensitivity. The standard is a reference solution that is used to confirm the meter's accuracy.
