The TOC analyzer is mainly composed of the following parts: sample inlet, inorganic carbon reactor, organic carbon oxidation reaction (or total carbon oxidation reactor), gas-liquid separator, non-spectral infrared CO2 analyzer, and data processing part. The content of organic matter in water is expressed by the amount of carbon, the main element in organic matter, and is called total organic carbon. The determination of TOC is similar to the determination of TOD. At a high temperature of 950°C, the organic matter in the water sample is gasified and burned to generate CO2, and the amount of CO2 generated is measured by an infrared analyzer, and the total organic carbon content can be known.
