Expert in Water Quality Measurement and Water Treatment Project Since 2007
Residual chlorine can be divided into total residual chlorine (referring to the compounds of chlorine and ammonia in water, including NH2Cl, nhcl2 and nhcl3, among which nhcl2 is relatively stable and has good bactericidal effect), also known as total residual chlorine; free residual chlorine (refers to OCL- , HOCl, Cl2, etc., which have fast sterilization speed and strong bactericidal power, but disappear quickly), also known as free residual chlorine. Free residual chlorine (referring to OCL-, HOCl, Cl2, etc. in water, with fast sterilization speed and strong bactericidal power, but disappears quickly), also known as free residual chlorine; total residual chlorine is the sum of total residual chlorine and free residual chlorine. Residual chlorine in tap water refers to free residual chlorine. The residual chlorine detector can accurately and reliably detect the total available chlorine (chlorine dioxide) according to the standard test method of DPD spectrophotometry. The new micro-processing technology and high-reliability integrated circuits are adopted, and imported high-grade electronic components are selected to ensure the long-term reliability of the instrument. It adopts a strong sealing and stable structure, and the protection level of the shell meets the requirements of IP54 stipulated in gb4208-1993, ensuring the measurement accuracy in harsh environments. Portable design, convenient on-site detection, with user-defined calibration curve function. The free chlorine tester immerses two different metals into the solution to generate an electromotive force, and then a current is generated between the two metals until the electrodes are polarized. The current generated is proportional to the concentration of residual chlorine. By using an overflow weir, the sample flow rate into the measurement chamber can be kept constant. Distilled white vinegar is pumped to the measuring chamber where it mixes with the water sample. White vinegar mainly serves two functions: one is to buffer the water sample and control the pH value; the other is to keep the electrode from being polluted and reduce the frequency of calibration. Precautions and maintenance of residual chlorine analyzer: 1. In general, secondary instruments do not require daily maintenance. If there is an obvious fault, please do not open it to repair it yourself. 2. After turning on the power, the instrument should display. If there is no display or the display is abnormal, turn off the power immediately and check whether the power is normal. 3. The cable joints must be kept clean, and they must not be exposed to moisture or water, otherwise inaccuracies may occur. 4. The electrode should be cleaned frequently to ensure that it is not polluted. 5. Regularly calibrate the electrodes. 6. During the water cut-off period, make sure that the electrode is soaked in the liquid to be measured, otherwise its service life will be shortened. 7. Whether the residual chlorine analyzer is used well or not depends mainly on the maintenance of the electrodes.
